Disneyland--Part 1

DISNEYLAND--PART 1

We took the kids and went to Disneyland for 3 days and had a great time. We were all fairly exhausted by the time we got home, but built tons of great memories. I hope the kids will always remember their first time at Disneyland. Amelia however, I don't think she will remember any of it. That will be interesting to find out in later years. I had this whole senerio played out in my head, that the kids would arrive on the grounds of Disneyland and say "WOW, COOL". You know all the "normal" reactions. We got, "ok".

So we started by going into Disneyland and first thing saw Mickey Mouse. The kids were so excited to have Mickey sign their autograph books. Amelia was not impressed, she freaked out. I thought I got a picture of Amelia freakin' out but I din't I guess. Sorry I could not share that with you, it was funny.

Then we met Minnie. Alexis was so, so excited to meet her and see her house. Amelia surprisingly like Minnie after our experience with Mickey.

We also ran into Goofy and Pluto. Goofy was, well, GOOFY! Had all of us laughing. THe kids approached him and wanted him to sign their books and he just started leisurely walking away. The kids just kind of looked at us with that "what is he doing" look and I said follow him, he's being "GOOFY"...Hahahahaha! I crack myself up. Then they said "oh", and followed him and Goofy was laughing and it was all good and fun.

Here are other pictures of Tigger and Pooh. We had fun with them. Tigger was a hoot and he made us laugh and laugh. Must of been having a good day, cause he was very funny.

This was a very cool ride. Buzz Lightyear ride was was fun. The ride is interactive, so you go through basically playing a big video game. You shoot out of these laser guns and shoot at the "enemies" targets and get points. As you walk out it tells you what rank you got based off your points range. Very fun ride and the kids loved it. I think it was probably one of their favorites.

Apparantly I was misinformed and tried to email all of you based on the email Isent previous. It's all false. This does not change my mind on any abortion anything or my feelings on Obama. It doesn't change anything I previously wrote. However, I am ticked that I got sent misinformation. Thanks and sorry.

Our reason for going to Utah was not a fun one. Matt's mom was in a coma and passed away Friday, December 19. Here is her obituary..Thanks to all who offered support for Matt, it is not a fun or easy experience losing a parent.

The Train

While in Utah, we decided it would be fun to take the kids to see the lights on Temple Square. Well, Northern Utah has this fabulous train that takes you from Nancy's area to SLC. We rode the train (Rielly was in heaven). We had lots of fun, unfortunately my camera died and Nancy's card rejected all the pictures we took at Temple Square. The train ride is all I have.

Holly, Amelia, Aunt Nancy, and Rielly. Freezing while waiting. It was COLD!

We were all in SHOCK and amazement that Amelia actually let someone put her hair up. Nancy was able to do her hair. I won't lie and say it lasted all day, but it did last a good couple hours. We got pictures for proof.

The kids visit with Santa

Posted by Wendi

While in Utah we went and visted with Santa. Aunt Nancy, her nephew Patrick, Alexis, Rielly, and Amelia. I think the kids thought this Santa was a bit 'interesting'. They had fun though.
Rielly AKA 'Ralphie'-As Santa put it.

Alexis and Santa

Amelia not liking Santa, AT ALL!

Rielly, AKA 'Ralphie' showing us the coloring book from Santa.

Patrick and Rielly completely crashed out on the ride home.

Amelia covering her face because she hates stormy weather..poor kid was traumatized from the summer storm we drove through.
