So here is the deal...I have lived in this house now for 18 months, I CAN NOT get organized! Cleaning up, putting stuff away, fine, but real down to the nitty gritty of organization, can't do it. No matter what I do, no matter what I try, especially with the kids, I can NOT get organized. Any suggestions?
I made Rigatoni for dinner tonight. The simple act of making Rigatoni really makes me miss my Grandpa. He always made Rigatoni. If my memory serves me correct, he made it pretty much every time we visited him or when he came to our house. He canned (well in a jar) his own sauce and it was good. I don't think my canned Hunt's sauce is as good as his was, but it just made me remember him and reflect on him. Oddly enough, the anniversary of his death was just a few days ago. I love you Grandpa and always will miss you!
We didn't make it..for the inquiring minds. However we did get to go to 2 tapings..that was fun. No camera's or phones allowed, therefore I have no pictures to share. That's about all for the update on Wheel..
Alexis just recently got contacts. That seems to be the biggest news around. If I were a good mom I would chronicle this event with pictures of her taking them out and putting them in. I have no batteries for my camera..and my sister need not comment!! So, when I remember to get batteries, I'll take pictures.
That's about all on the homefront at this time. NOthing to big and exciting. Just getting ready for school to start in 23 DAYS!!!!! I could not be MORE excited!!
I am crazy. Man, this whole Wheel thing has me so nervous. Matt keeps telling me to calm down..Every time I think about getting a call I invision how excited I'll be and I hope whom ever calls from Wheel has some good strong ear drums. However, on the flip side, I have nervous belly and I just keep thinking I can't have butterflies and knotted up tummy till mid-July..that might just kill me. Man, this waiting thing is making me nuts in the head, and probably giving me some ulcers. I just had to release it somewhere..so onward with waiting..hope we get the call..I'll let you know either way.
Well, as luck would have it we made it through the entire audition without getting cut..so far. We now have to wait to see if we are lucky enough to receive 'that' phone call!! Matt and I did our best and whatever is meant to happen will! We are extremely excited about the chance to appear on Wheel and hope it comes! Being on Wheel has been a LIFELONG dream and goal of mine. I first tried out in LA when I was 12 for 'Teen Week'. I froze during the written and did not move on. I tried out again here in Vegas more that a decade ago, got through the first portion and got cut. Then, I went to the 'Wheelmobile' audition here in Vegas in April, got called up, but then was chosen to audition for 'Sweethearts Week' instead. I don't know, I'd rather play with Matt anyways. We do good as a team and he is fast on his feet! Hopefully, they see it that way too. I can't say enough nice things about the 'Wheel of Fortune' staff that was here today. They were all very nice and kind to us, except Bankrupting us for getting too MANY letters and chances. I think after about calling out 4 correct letters they would Bankrupt us so others had a chance to shine. Wish us luck and hopefully we'll tape with 'Wheel' in July!! I'll keep you all posted.
Wish Matt and I well...we are off for an audition for Wheel of Fortune "Sweethearts Week" tomorrow. We are both excited and nervous! Wish us luck and we'll let you know if we even make through the timed test..that will be our biggest hurdle.
Eeekk...This means we have 2 more school years of Elementry..not so sure how I feel about Middle school. It gives me heartburn and palpations just thinking about it. I REMEMBER Jr. High, it sucked, every moment of it! I took a couple pictures of Alexis accepting her awards for the third grade year. Once again, the lighting was awful!
Alexis and Ms. Alger. We will miss her, she was fabulous. We were lucky to have wonderful teachers this year!
Rielly "graduated" from Kindergarten and we are very proud of him. We are ALL excited for him to eat lunch at school and go all day in August. Here are some pictures of him at their celebration. Sorry the pictures are dark...the lighting was horrible.
They asked all the kids what they wanted to be when they grow up. This is Rielly telling the audience he would like to be a clown. I am not kidding...it was funny.
This is Ms. B and Rielly. She has been the greatest! We were very lucky and blessed to be able to have her as Rielly's teacher.
So, lately Amelia has a new word. It is "shhhh", she puts her finger over her mouth even. It is not even that she says the word, the problem is she only says it when I tell her "no". We'll roleplay. ME: Amelia stop throwing your toy. AMELIA:
'shhhhh'. ME: Amelia don't tell me to "shhh". AMELIA: 'Shh'. The "shhh" gets shorter the more she tries to get her point across. What is it with toddlers? Thanks for tuning in! :)
Ok, see mom, I posted!! Nothing real exciting here. We have been busy busy little bees. We repainted the kitchen and now I need to take those new batteries I bought and take a picture with my camera. (No need for comment Paula!) We are getting ready to remove carpet in the "living room", you know the little patch of carpet downstairs and put hardwood in. We are VERY excited for that. So, as soon as I get all that done I will take some pictures and post them. I guess I should finish our Dland trip, huh? I will after the fair. I will have fair pictures to post as well. I have 3 cakes to make this weekend, so I'll be back after Easter/fair. Wish me luck I am entering a cake in the fair..
DISNEYLAND--PART 1
We took the kids and went to Disneyland for 3 days and had a great time. We were all fairly exhausted by the time we got home, but built tons of great memories. I hope the kids will always remember their first time at Disneyland. Amelia however, I don't think she will remember any of it. That will be interesting to find out in later years. I had this whole senerio played out in my head, that the kids would arrive on the grounds of Disneyland and say "WOW, COOL". You know all the "normal" reactions. We got, "ok".
So we started by going into Disneyland and first thing saw Mickey Mouse. The kids were so excited to have Mickey sign their autograph books. Amelia was not impressed, she freaked out. I thought I got a picture of Amelia freakin' out but I din't I guess. Sorry I could not share that with you, it was funny.
Then we met Minnie. Alexis was so, so excited to meet her and see her house. Amelia surprisingly like Minnie after our experience with Mickey.
We also ran into Goofy and Pluto. Goofy was, well, GOOFY! Had all of us laughing. THe kids approached him and wanted him to sign their books and he just started leisurely walking away. The kids just kind of looked at us with that "what is he doing" look and I said follow him, he's being "GOOFY"...Hahahahaha! I crack myself up. Then they said "oh", and followed him and Goofy was laughing and it was all good and fun.
Here are other pictures of Tigger and Pooh. We had fun with them. Tigger was a hoot and he made us laugh and laugh. Must of been having a good day, cause he was very funny.
This was a very cool ride. Buzz Lightyear ride was was fun. The ride is interactive, so you go through basically playing a big video game. You shoot out of these laser guns and shoot at the "enemies" targets and get points. As you walk out it tells you what rank you got based off your points range. Very fun ride and the kids loved it. I think it was probably one of their favorites.
Lex on Lightyear..
Rielly on Lightyear...
Matt, Lex, and Amelia on Lightyear...
I will post more later...Part 2 and maybe 3 coming shortly..
Apparantly I was misinformed and tried to email all of you based on the email Isent previous. It's all false. This does not change my mind on any abortion anything or my feelings on Obama. It doesn't change anything I previously wrote. However, I am ticked that I got sent misinformation. Thanks and sorry.
